Produced by Rajan Shahi, Star Plus’ show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been running successfully for almost 15 years now. Starring Samridhii Shukla, Shehzada Dhami, Pratiksha Homnukhe, and Shivam Khajuria in pivotal roles, the show is one of the most-watched shows that often tops the weekly TRP charts. Despite introducing the new generation of the show, the makers have failed to impress their audience. In the last few episodes, it is seen that Ruhi ties the knot with Rohit, and the Poddars welcome her with open arms. On the other hand, Akshara breathes her last after watching Armaan and Abhira get married.
Today’s episode starts with the Ruhi performing her griha pravesh. Ruhi sees Armaan’s photos and stumbles as Rohit welcomes her into his house by calling her Ruhi Rohit Poddar. Dadi gets concerned and asks her if she is fine. Ruhi says that she is and that she just slipped. Manisha gets worried and points out that the kalash fell upside down. Dadi gets angry and states that the daughters-in-law of the Poddar family never make a mistake. Vidya pacifies Dadi and asks her to calm down. On the other hand, Abhira performs Akshara’s last rites as Armaan looks on. They both think about Akshara. Akshara appears there and talks to Abhira. She expresses her gratitude and asks her to live with happiness. Abhira gets emotional as she begs her mother not to go.
Armaan comes there to catch Abhira as she stumbles while lighting her mother's pyre. Abhira shouts at Armaan and tells him to stay away from her. Back at the Poddar house, the daughters-in-law talk about the jewellery they received and Vidya gives her bangles. Dadi blesses Ruhi and tells her to become Rohit’s inspiration just as Armaan’s wife will be for him when he gets married. Ruhi gets tensed hearing that. Dadi makes it clear how in their house the daughter-in-laws compete and tells Ruhi to become the leading bahu of their house. Armaan tells
Abhira that he can understand her pain, but she lashes out at him stating that how can he understand since both his parents and family is alive and well. He tells her that she isn’t alone as he plans on keeping the promise he made to Akshara. Abhira goes on to tell him how she doesn’t believe in the marriage and will never be his wife. Armaan shakes hands with her and tells her that he will never try to act like her husband. He will fulfill his promise to Akshara to keep her safe and make sure that she becomes successful and independent just like her mother wanted. Yuvraj comes there and they rush off. Armaan does his best to protect Abhira.
In the upcoming episode, Dadi gets ecstatic as she tells everyone that Rohit has a surprise. Rohit enters the house with Armaan and Abhira in tow. Armaan introduces Abhira as the daughter-in-law of the house leaving everyone furious and shocked.
